The website designed and developed by W|W for the Oakland Business Improvement District (OBID) is powered by BlokBlok CMS, a Ruby on Rails + Javascript content management system. W|W's recommended strategy was to focus on promoting the entire Oakland community and its assets vs. just the business improvement district, aka BID, to deliver a digital experience commensurate with the place. The website leverages a robust Explore section that is curated by local guides and personalities.
