FRIENDSHIP CIRCLE OF PITTSBURGH
BUILDING A MORE INCLUSIVE & ACCESSIBLE PITTSBURGH
The Friendship Circle of Pittsburgh is a nonprofit organization that fosters an inclusive community by pairing volunteers with individuals with disabilities for shared programs, experiences, and relationships. Through a wide range of social, educational, and family-centered initiatives, it creates meaningful connections that build confidence, reduce isolation, and strengthen the broader community. W|W designed and developed a new website that brings the Friendship Circle’s brand to life online while providing a clearer, more compelling view of its work and impact.

UNIFYING THE ECOSYSTEM
In addition to the Friendship Circle’s core programming, two key initiatives—The Beacon, which supports teen mental health, and Bunny Bakes, which advances workforce readiness—play an important role in its impact. The new website brings clarity to the organization’s overall structure, making it easy for all audiences to understand how these efforts are connected.

IMPROVE ENGAGEMENT
To enhance engagement across all stakeholder audiences, W|W focused on several key objectives for the redesign. Beginning with UX, the site’s usability was significantly improved through simplified navigation and a clearer information hierarchy. A modern design aesthetic—grounded in the Friendship Circle’s visual brand—creates a more authentic and immersive experience. Finally, the new website brings life-changing stories and measurable outcomes to the forefront, reinforcing the organization’s essential role for so many families.

TECH STACK AND INTEGRATION
The Friendship Circle website is built on Sanity, a flexible, API-first headless CMS designed to manage structured content across web, mobile, and other digital channels. W|W also implemented an integration with Daxko, the organization’s CRM, to support the management of programs, events, and members. A custom CMS component allows the client team to easily control which program categories are featured on each page.
