THE AMBASSADOR HOTEL
SHARING THE WAY WE WAIKIKI
The Ambassador Hotel opened in 1968, built on the site of the famous Lau Yee Chai restaurant. This era introduced the world to many of Hawaii's favorite sons, daughters and ambassadors, embodying aloha through warmth, charm and grace. This enchanting spirit permeated Waikiki. Over the years, the property has been a landmark, welcoming residents and visitors with its distinctive marquee sign. That history and know-how, now matched by a refreshed style, transports you to an idyllic Hawaiian escape that feels authentic and modern at the same time. W|W's rebranding work for The Ambassador Hotel was recognized with a Pele Gold Medal.

ALOHA ALWAYS COMES FIRST
W|W's work began with conversations and research that uncovered insights to inform the brand strategy and platform.W|W updated the brand identity to pay tribute to the decades-old original but with modern refinements to the typographic signature. A fresh color palette complements the newly updated hotel decor alongside a handmade collage pattern that provides a sense of place. Subsequently, W|W provided a brand style guide and supporting recommendations for signage and marketing collateral.
