Wall-to-Wall Studios Teaches Class on the Power of Emotion in Branding at Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at RMU

December 2, 2012

Wall-to-Wall Studios' partners Larkin Werner and Pete Popivchak taught a class that focused on the power of emotion in branding at the Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management at Robert Morris University. The Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management was founded in 1999 to provide the necessary tools for nonprofit organizations to effectively manage and compete in today's society.

All of us are subjected to advertising, branding and marketing messages on a daily basis, whether we want it or not. Most say this type of messaging is annoying noise that clutters our lives, and much of it ends up being forgettable. However, making an emotional connection can often have the opposite effect: A consumer may choose to remember the brand or messaging, because it perhaps was unexpected, made them laugh, or even made them cry. In addition to leading a discussion on the topic, "I Laughed, I Cried, I Remembered: How Humor, Emotion and Wit make for Memorable Branding", the W|W instructors also shared insights on branding for nonprofits & key tips on developing a successful relationship with a branding/design firm.
