Wall-to-Wall Studios is pleased to announce the addition of self-proclaimed craft beer connoisseur, Mr. Jim Hargreaves to the firm's Pittsburgh, PA office.  Prior to joining Wall-to-Wall, Jim worked as a designer at Barnhart Communications and Ellen Bruss Design, both located in Denver, CO. Jim received a BFA in Art Studio from Gettysburg College in PA, followed by a MA in Graphic Design from Savannah College of Art and Design.

Wall-to-Wall Studios Wins Graphis Gold Award For Oakland Identity

The logo and identity system designed by Wall-to-Wall Studios for the community of Oakland was selected by Graphis, The International Journal of Visual Communication, as a Gold Award winner in the Design Annual 2011.  Working in collaboration with the Oakland Community Council, Oakland Task Force, City of Pittsburgh Planning & Public Art and other key stakeholders, Wall-to-Wall Studios designed the branding for Oakland, the third largest commerce center in Pennsylvania and often considered the cultural hub of the region.

Wall-to-Wall promotes J.J. Dolan's 2nd Annual Pizza Eating Contest

What better way to start your Independence Day holiday long weekend (and First Friday people watching) than to participate, observe or heckle at the 2nd Annual J.J. Dolan's Pizza Eating Contest?  If you're in Honolulu this First Friday, the Wall-to-Wall gang will meet you there. Friday July 2nd, 2010 at 5:15pm. Wall-to-Wall Studios Launches Castle & Cook Hawaii Website

Wall-to-Wall Studios launches the new website (www.castlecookehawaii.com) for Castle & Cooke Hawaii, a division of Castle & Cooke which was founded in 1851 by merchant partners Samuel Northrup Castle and Amos Starr Cooke.  Castle & Cooke's diversified businesses include residential and commercial real estate (Village of Kapolei, Koa Ridge, Mililani master-planned community), visitor attractions (Dole Plantation on O'ahu), resorts (Four Seasons Resort Lana'i & Malele Bay), building materials, aviation and renewable energy.  The website is powered by W|W CMS, the custom content management system. Wall-to-Wall Studios also designed marketing communications for Castle & Cooke Self Storage and Koa Ridge.

Wall-to-Wall Wins National ADDY Award for Bar 35 TV Ad

Wall-to-Wall Studios received a National ADDY Award for Special Effects on the Bar 35 TV commercial. Bar 35 is a ritzy, retro bar on Hotel Street in the newly energized Downtown-Chinatown area of Honolulu and is rumored to have Hawaii's best happy hour.  With over 60,000 entries annually, the ADDY Awards are the world's largest and arguably toughest advertising competition and represent the true spirit of creative excellence.

Wall-to-Wall Studios Launches PaleoPortal Fossil Preparation Website at American Museum of Natural History

Working with the American Museum of Natural History in NYC on a NSF funded initiative, Wall-to-Wall Studios launched a new Fossil Preparation website for the Paleontology Portal.  The website is powered by the W|W CMS content management system and is the central resource on fossil preparation for those with an interest in paleontology, from museum and lab professionals, to amateur collectors, to school and university students. Wall-to-Wall Studios also designed and developed the Collections Management website for the Paleontology Portal.

Carnegie Mellon Brag Book Wins CASE Circle of Excellence Awards

Wall-to-Wall Studios was recently recognized with two Circle of Excellence Awards for The Little Brag Book designed for the Carnegie Mellon University Advancement Office. The honors were bestowed by The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).  The Circle of Excellence Awards are advancement’s premier international awards.  The Little Brag Book showcases innovations attributed to the university's alumni, faculty and students and was created to support the Campaign for Carnegie Mellon University, Inspire Innovation.  The Little Brag Book was selected as a Silver award winner in two categories:

Wall-to-Wall Studios Launches New Website for the Louis J. Fox Center for Vision Restoration

The first national, comprehensive, multi-disciplinary research and clinical program dedicated to ocular regenerative medicine., The Louis J. Fox Center for Vision Restoration (Fox Center) of the UPMC and the University of Pittsburgh, hired Wall-to-Wall Studios to design and develop the Center's website (http://www.foxcenter.pitt.edu/), which serves to promote awareness/education of vision loss in an effort to improve vision restoration through cutting-edge research. The website is powered by W|W CMS, Wall-to-Wall Studios' custom content management system.  The Fox Center is a joint program of UPMC Eye Center and the McGowan Institute
for Regenerative Medicine.

EDU Checkup Gives "A" Rating to Website Designed by Wall-to-Wall Studios for Carnegie Mellon Qatar

The Carnegie Mellon Qatar Campus website (http://www.qatar.cmu.edu/) designed by Wall-to-Wall Studios was one of the university/college sites reviewed by EDU Checkup in 2010 and achieved an overall 92-A rating, one of the higher scores given.  The Carnegie Mellon Qatar Campus website scored a 96 in graphics and visual imagery and a 92 in content and information. The website is powered by W|W CMS, Wall-to-Wall Studios' content management system.

Lt. Governor Aiona Announces Hawai'i's Energy Rebate Program

Hawaii Lt. Governor James R. "Duke" Aiona Jr., announced that Hawai`i residents will soon be able to save money on new energy-efficient refrigerators when they replace their old models, as a result of $2 million in federal stimulus funds allocated to the State of Hawai`i to be used for Energy Star appliance rebates. Wall-to-Wall Studios is developing the branding, awareness and promotional campaign for Hawaii Energy (www.hawaiienergy.com), which is the official online hub for program information.

Wall-to-Wall Studios' Branded Clusty Sold for $5.6 Million

Congratulations to Pittsburgh-based Vivisimo for the sale of its clustering search engine, Clusty (www.Clusty.com), to Florida based technology firm Yippy for $5.6 million. Wall-to-Wall Studios worked with Vivisimo to develop the Clusty brand, including the naming, identity/logo and initial interface design.

Carnegie Mellon Admissions Receives Record Number of Applications

Continuing its successful collaboration with Carnegie Mellon Undergraduate Admissions, Wall-to-Wall Studios created new recruitment collateral that helped drive another record year.  Wall-to-Wall Studios designed direct mail and e-communications for the Pre-College Program and the "search" campaign (email, direct mail, microsite and more) that targeted prospective students by their area of interest.  Congratulations to Carnegie Mellon on successfully enrolling the Class of 2014.

Wall-to-Wall Studios Designs New Packaging for Diamond Bakery

Wall-to-Wall Studios created the name, branding and packaging for the new "Eat Healthy" line of baked goods for Diamond Bakery, Hawaii's largest cookie and cracker maker: Maui Sugar Graham Crackers, Waimea Wheat Crackers, Hula Creem Crackers, and of course, an organic flour version of their most popular Original Hawaii Soda Crackers. Reed School of Journalism at West Virginia University, Wall-to-Wall Studios created an identity system for DMC (Digital Marketing Communications). A new certificate program.
